Review: This pack flows together in an amazing way. When the blocks are placed together they really add to the atmosphere of Minecraft. In other words, the generated terrain is appealing and looks great. But when these blocks are pulled away from each other, the flow kind of goes away. While the blocks mesh together, they don’t form beautiful houses or formations. When they are separate they don’t look like the could belong in any way.
Some of the blocks I really like. Others, not so much. I really like the grass, tnt, cactus, stone, and the ores. I didn’t like the obsidian, sand, sandstone, or the logs. I didn’t approve of the obsidian because it was a darkish red. Obsidian is black, or much darker in Minecraft. The red is sort of out there. The sand and sandstone looked too grey and dark. Sand is tan and vibrant. I have nothing against dark textures, but a lot of this pack is brighter, so the sand doesn’t really go with the rest of the pack.
Enough with the bad stuff, let’s get on with the good stuff. As I have already stated, the overall look of the generated terrain works nicely together. The grass, tree leaves, sugar cane, water, planks, wool, crafting table, chests, all look gorgeous! The workbench has a great design, simple yet not too simple. Oh, and I really love cobblestone! It looks awesome, it isn’t ugly, it is smooth and has an aesthetic appeal.
Final Thoughts: Overall this is a wonderful pack. It looks nice in the terrain area, but in other aspects it doesn’t meet expectations. It does have a few high points though!
